A/W Fashion Trends

aw

Ooo it’s getting so autumn/winter…and I’m totally loving it. As the autumn atmosphere fills the air, it’s a perfect excuse to layer up in those jumpers that have been neglected in your wardrobe. You can think about what prints you want to showcase: check, dogtooth, dark florals.

The colour palette is super minimal and neutral toned. This season, beige, nude and camel colours are dominant. I really love how utterly simplistic the hues are, but they have that sophisticated impact. At the moment I am searching for a camel coloured coat. Whether you think they are pared-down or daring, anyone can rock this colour! What’s also so amazing is that if you invest in a coat, they can last a lifetime. Go for a coat that you are always going to love. I suggest trying out diverse styles so you can get a feel for your favourite and distinguish your personal look. From parkas to boyfriend to trench coats, the options are so different. You can go for a plain design or opt for outwear that includes all the details such as fur trims.

Next on the autumn agenda are turtle necks/rollnecks/polo necks- whatever you like to call them. It’s like which to say- scones or sconees?! Anyway, they are the Queen of comfort. You can keep to simple look or even accessorise them by layering up a necklace. Who needs a scarf when you have a t-neck? In addition you can get them in so many seasonal colours from burgundy to mustard.  If you want to keep ultra-warm, there’s even cable knit. You can buy them fitted to your size or go for an exaggerated shape to be cosy and cute. You can wear it practically under everything.

Get your texture on. Wear touchable and stroke-able materials that are so soft and so stylish. Why not throw on a textured jumper with jeans to add a touch of contrast. Faux fur will always be bang on trend in the changing months.

Guess what? Capes are back! From catwalk to high-street, they have been translated into shops in a wearable way. They are back to stay in the fashion spotlight. They are a wrap-over blanket style garment.  I adore Dolce and Gabbana’s capes, they have that everlasting elegance.  Also they have a fairy-tale element from the beautiful silhouette. Flying is optional.

This A/W15, be inspired by the trends and adapt to the season in style!

Dynamic florals

Fashion is for ever blooming this time with a darker mood. The floral trend has taken a twist since summer, garments are in darker shades and less vibrant tones. Some of the flower pattern is gothic others are glamorously embellished. Luscious roses are my favourite as they create a fairy-tale spin, reminiscent of the delicate garden.

My picks from the highly-affordable highstreet:

Loving this H&M jersey top (matching skirt sold seperately). The deep pinks reflect refreshing romance. For £9.99 it can be teamed with endless garments. The 3/4 length sleeves draws in your waist, oh so feminine.

Just look at this pins & Needles oversized sweatshirt £40, exclusive to Urban Outfitters. The retro inspired print is a relaxed material which shows a new side to florals with a washed out look.

This is the perfect dress ever, don’t you love it! This Kimchi Blue Stella garment is also from Urban Outfitters, £38. The colour is sharp marine and indigo colour, the complimentary hues are uplifting  against the dominant black.

Florca Floral Pleated Skirt from Missguided is a zipped pleated and detailed design of the graphic bold bloom at £19.99. Everyone should have one item floral- such a stylish motif!

Add a fresh appeal to your closet, when your fingers run through the clothes touch textured petals… or your floral clothing. To add a touch of rock to the soft floral look just throw an a leather jacket and you can’t go wrong! Embrace your lady-ness or edgy-ness.

Baby Lips Review

Image

Today I went to Westfield’s Superdrug and came across the popular chapsticks. Maybelline “Baby Lips” come in six moisturizing shades. “Pink punch”(gentle pink), “Peach kiss” (glimmering nude), “Grape vine” (purple/wine), “Cherry me” (pink), “Peppermint”(clear) and “Quenched”(clear). Fashion blogs and gurus are obsessing over the tinted lip balm. People choose a shade and scent according to their preference. You guessed it: I chose the pink colour “Pink Punch”.
The cute packaging is enticing… but the quality of the product is truly fabulous. The pigmentation can be faint if you apply a thin layer. If you want thick intensity build up the layers. The texture is ideal, there is no grease or heavy weight consistency. The fragrance is so lovely, I always smell the balm before applying. Aahhh. Its a refreshing tropical scent reminds me of a cocktail.

Also they are SPF 20, they provide instant nourishment and hue to your lips. The product claims there is eight hour protection but I am slathering the baby lips on throughout the day. The product is meant to be eight hour lip renewal, but I reapply to be certain my lips are a pretty colour and feel.

Add sheer opaque or subtle hues to your lips. You will soon have hydrated baby soft lips.

Also when I was in the shop, I was approached by a camera crew to promote Impulse’s new deodorant called “Be surprised”. I commented on the euphoric product, such as the floral scent, light and fresh feeling to the spray. Impulse collaborates violets and red fruits, oriental and extremely feminine.
